A Day in London 2

Under: Photo Post
This months visit to London was a rainy day so we decided to keep indoors for most of the day, exploring the South Bank. We also were taking my father back to the airport, so this is a slightly shorter post.
We start at Westminster Underground Station, which is one of the most amazing underground stations as well as one of the most technologically impressive.
The station is one of the deepest ones, due to its proximity to the River Thames and is full of huge concrete beams and pillars.
This pic makes me think of entering some kind of futuristic spaceship :P
As you can see it is a pretty over-cased day which started out with plenty of rain. Today would not be the best day to be going on the Eye.
On our way to the South Bank crossing Westminster Bridge. Would have been useful if we had had more umbrellas and waterproof shoes.
One of the nicest sculptures of Nelson Mandela.
"hundreds" of bicycles for hire. I really think they need to start implementing something like this in London: www.dannychoo.com/post/en/1630/Japan+Bike+Storage.html
you can make out The Shard London Bridge in the background, which will be completed for the Olympics. There have been many criticisms about the building. I for one welcome it and think it is about time London gets a decent sky-line. On completion the facade of the building is suppose to reflect light in such away that the building glows different colours according to the weather. the-shard.com
Making reservations for an early supper at one of my favorite restaurants in London.
These are just about on every street corner in London. Good thing their food is so good ^^
An empty street 0_o
Finally the sun has come out
Decided to go to the Serpentine Gallery to see the exhibit and the 2011 Pavilion.
The rain actually made this pavilion that much more interesting.
McLaren Dealership and the new McLaren that is named more like a FAX machine I think its something like: MP4-12c, actually that sound more like a weapon ;)
The McLaren Dealership along with the Bank of Dubai are located here at One Hyde Park.
Supper time at one of our favorite Indian Restaurants in London, they make very good Tandoori Chicken!
