I started the Day in London series as a monthly series. However, this was a little ambitious. During term time I simply run out of time and don't make it into London.
However, in this rather short post I have condensed the last two visits into a single post. In early January whilst my father was still in the UK we visited London on the day he was returning back to South Africa. As a result our time in the London was limited.

So as I am visiting Paris at the end of next month, I needed to organize myself a Schengen Visa. Thus this months visit to London started bright and early at 6:30 as we had to get to the French VISA agency by 10:00. Also as I did not go to London last month this post is quite a big one.
First off I must advise anybody travelling to London to avoid Peak travel times as this will result in your ticket costing double, yes double... I feel very sorry for all the commuters. Commuters are a...

This months visit to London was a rainy day so we decided to keep indoors for most of the day, exploring the South Bank. We also were taking my father back to the airport, so this is a slightly shorter post.
We start at Westminster Underground Station, which is one of the most amazing underground stations as well as one of the most technologically impressive.

As I have just moved to the UK I thought I would share some pics of my monthly visits to London. In order to do so I am starting a new series called "A Day in London" in which I will post plenty of snaps through out each visit. Hopefully this should give you a better feeling of life in the UK.
Starting off with St Pancras station at about 11AM. The train trip from Canterbury uses the new South Eastern High-speed which reduces the journey time into London quite substantially.
